Situated 145 km from Johannesburg and 25 km southeast of Potchefstroom in the geological and historical world famous VREDEFORT DOME which was declared a world heritage site. The area is mountainous, interesting and picturesque and the resort is situated in peaceful surroundings away from public roads and residential areas. You can hike, swim in a small pool, mountain bike or just relax in this unspoilt hilly landscape.

Diamante en Goud

Opened in 1980 they opened this business, and since then they have been involved here full time. Christo did all the building work with the help of some laborers and made the furniture in the “cottage style” which they both loved.

The business has grown and at the moment there are two full time master gold smiths.

Sweetpea and Maple

visit Sweetpea & Maple. The cooks here prepare tasty piesquiche and chicken. Nothing can be better than trying nicely cooked cheesecakes. It’s a must while visiting Sweetpea & Maple to order delicious coffee or great tea.

OR Tambo International Airport

Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport is the busiest airport on the continent of Africa and is situated in the Kempton Park district of Johannesburg, 23 km north-west of the city centre and 46 km south of Pretoria city centre.

Formerly, Jan Smuts Airport, it has been renamed in honour of the late and former ANC President, Oliver Reginald Tambo, who was more commonly referred to by the name of OR Tambo.

Bass Lake Adventures

Bass Lake consists of a 10-hectare body of spring-fed water. Considered by the top certifying agencies (PADI, NAUI, SSI, CMAS, IANTD) to be the best Scuba Training venue in South Africa. Depths vary from a walk in slope to 23m at the deepest point.

Vaal River

The Vaal River is the largest tributary of the Orange River in South Africa. The river has its source near Breyten in Mpumalanga province, east of Johannesburg and about 30 kilometres north of Ermelo and only about 240 kilometres from the Indian Ocean.
